Baby alpaca sits between wool and silk in its handle: warmer than you expect for the weight, and noticeably softer at the skin. This maxi-scarf uses finer grades of baby alpaca fibre harvested from the highlands of Peru, where the animals produce a coat adapted to wide swings in temperature. Without lanolin, it works well for skin that reacts to traditional wool, and the natural breathability means it regulates warmth rather than trapping it. Draped over a chair, folded into a bag, or wrapped at the shoulder, it returns to the same calm shape each time.
